Best Dishes to Try in Prague
Prague—A beautiful city of fairytale spires and cobblestone charm. Beyond this though, it is a food lover’s dream. I made it my mission to taste my way through some of the city’s most tempting spots the second I arrived.
A Mexican Feast in the Heart of Prague
My first stop was Agave. It was a cozy yet vibrant Mexican restaurant that delivered much more than expected. I ordered their loaded quesadilla. It was crispy and golden, and the edges were gooey with melted cheese. I also opted for the pile of loaded nachos with tons of fresh toppings. Every bite was rich and comforting, but I knew I could not leave without dessert. The warm cinnamon-sugar churros dipped in decadent chocolate sauce were absolutely to die for!
Morning Pastry Bliss
The next morning, I started my day with beautiful pastries from Artic Bakehouse. I had heard all about this place from TikTok and was dying to try it. I treated myself to a flaky Danish alongside an almond croissant that was buttery and dangerously addictive. This is the kind of breakfast spot that makes you wish you lived next door.
Classic Comfort
For lunch, I kept it simple with an American classic at Charles Burger Pub. Their cheeseburgers hit all the notes. It combined a juicy patty, melty cheese, and a soft bun that held the burger together perfectly. Sometimes, a classic is all you need.
A Twist on Brunch
The following day I had a little later start and stumbled upon the Food Lab shortly after leaving my hotel. This was where I discovered my new favorite avocado toast. The thick, creamy avocado was topped with pomegranate seeds that added an interesting twist. Not to mention, they were paired with perfectly cooked fried eggs. It was fresh, colorful, and packed with flavor!
A Cozy Dinner to End the Day
For my final meal in Prague, I found myself at Picnic Park, a warm and inviting restaurant tucked away in a cozy part of town. I started with bruschetta—crispy bread piled with ripe tomatoes and herbs. Following, I dived into two rich specialty meat pasta dishes. The combination was indulgent and the perfect finale to my Prague food journey.
Final Thoughts
Prague proved during my visit that it can cater to every craving. The city is filled with a great variety and tasty bites. If you are visiting, come hungry and maybe pack some stretchy pants.
