
It's very easy to get caught up with the everyday hustle because life has been really lifin' lately. And for that reason along it is important to pause and take care of yourself. Making self-care a priority will look different for each of us but we can all agree that it is neccesary. Let me take you on a journey and show you what my self-care routine looks like.
Daily Walks Matter. Create an at-home workout routine that you can do at least 3x a week. Walking on the treadmill, jumping rope, hula hooping to work my core and yoga are on the top of my list. I always feel stronger and healthier after my workouts and best of all, I never had to leave my home.
Create an Intimate Space. If you have an extra room, spacious closet or cozy corner - transform it into an oasis. Make it your go to after your long day to unwind and regroup. Use it to pray, meditate, read, dance or enjoy a glass of wine. Use it however you like because its your space to turn off the noise & regroup.
Bubbles & Bubble Baths. Should I say more, I don't think so. Showers are cool but bubble baths are pink starbursts! End your day with a juicy essential oil infused bubble bath and a glass of bubbly to ensure a great nights sleep. You can also elevate your bath experience by lighting a candle and watching one of your favorites shows or listening to some smooth jazz.
Prepping is Key. Lastly, I suggest that you prep your meals a few days in advance. This will allow you to have more time in the evenings to prioritirze your self-care and prepare for the next day. Believe it or not, we spend a lot of time daily wondering what to eat and then preparing it. Meal prepping on Sunday or Monday for the next 4 days will free up so many hours during your week and change your life. Take it from me because I'm speaking from experience. You can even create some new dishes that you would love to try thanks to Tik Tok.
